On the afternoon of August 6, 2019, Gu Yunhao, Director of Jing’an District People’s Congress, accompanied by Wang Min, Director of the Office of Standing Committee of District People’s Congress, Yu Hongmei, Deputy Director of District Commerce Committee, Chen Jun, General Manager of Shibei Hi-tech Park, visited CASCO to carry out a survey and provide guidance on relevant work.
Director Gu carefully listened to the report on company development by President Yang Haidong and expressed appreciation for CASCO’s achievements in rail transit field. Director Gu said, the District Government has paid high attention to CASCO, an advantageous hi-tech company, and this visit mainly aimed to get further understanding of company development, obtain the insights from the company and better serve the company at policy level. President Yang extended sincere thanks to the delegation led by Director Gu for their visit in spite of the hot weather and indicated that the development of CASCO over the years is inseparable from support from various parties in the District, especially in industrial support. On the other hand, he pointed out the fact that continued support from the District Government is expected as the company is still faced with difficulties in cultivation of leading professional talents, construction of national-level research center platforms, implementation and application of new technologies, solution of bottleneck problems, guarantee of talent pool, among others. Director Gu responded, as a key company in the District, CASCO serves as an influential name card and the management has foresight in scientific and technological innovation. The District Government will make every effort in assistance and facilitation, and coordinate with District Science and Technology Committee, Economy and Information Technology Committee, to resolve issues so as to facilitate the sustainable and healthy development of CASCO.
On the afternoon of October 31, CASCO, together with Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shentong Group”), Shanghai Telecom, Huawei, Shanghai Communications Services and other partners, launched China’s first rail transit operation management platform based on 5G applications – “5G+ Intelligent Operation Command Platform”, which is the first customized application of CASCO’s “Fully Automatic Operation System 2.0” for intelligent metros since its official release in June this year. At present, the platform has been officially put into operation at East Xujing Station of Shanghai Metro Line 2, aiming to provide intelligent rail transit service for the success of the Second China International Import Expo.
On October 11, 2019, under the escort of several CASCO signaling systems, the passenger dedicated line from Meizhou to Chaozhou-Shantou region officially entered into passenger-carrying operation, marking that the northeastern part of Guangdong was officially integrated into the “three-hour economic and living circle” of Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
At 10:00 a.m. on October 9, 2019, CASCO’s FZK-CTC3.0 centralized traffic control system with complete intellectual property rights was officially put into operation for Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway, the first heavy-haul railway in China. CASCO upgraded and transformed its original CTC system and assisted the successful reconstruction of signaling system, making it the first heavy-haul railway to be overhauled and renovated in China. It has not only greatly improved the freight capacity of the railway, but also set a new benchmark in the dispatching command of busy heavy-haul freight trunk railways with a capacity of ten thousand tons.
