Spiritual High - by Hassen Rasool Biography Hassen Rasool is based both personally and professionally in London. He comes from a family who is wholeheartedly committed to the religion of Islam, and the advancement of Muslims through creativity. He is indebted to his parents for their dedication to his development as a Muslim and encouraging his god-given talent for recitation of the Glorious Quran, which was unmistakeable even in early childhood. His exclusive voice has affected the hearts of all who have had the pleasure of hearing him, Muslims and non-muslims alike. He is also a gifted artist, photographer, and a professionally qualified graphic designer whose work is internationally recognised. His ancestry ranges from India to South Africa. His need for the advancement of his own spirituality and Islamic development has taken him to South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In Mecca he was given the exceptional privilege of performing Adhaan. He also made history, being the first ever to perform Adhaan in Trafalgar Square, London, to crowds of over 100 000 people. His vision for the promotion of Islam and the muslims transcends the boundaries of those before him who have embarked on this noble path. His inspiration is his love of Allah (SWT), and his passionate devotion to the Islamic way of life. He feels it is vitally important that we find a medium of communication and interaction with non-muslims. He sees our shared love of beautiful music and visual arts as a stepping stone to opening a meaningful dialogue. This approach has so far proved highly successful. He is currently working on the production of his first album, Spiritual High, and will also be promoting a unique collection of Nasheeds (songs) in the near future.
