The National Geographic published a short article by
Christopher P. Sloan titled ‘the lord of wings’ in its May 2003
issue. Its subject was the discovery of the 130 million years old Microraptor
gui fossils announced to the world in January 2003. At that time it was claimed
that the fossil belonged to a four winged dinosaur, which was supposed to be
gliding from tree to tree. This find was interpreted as evidence for the theory
of birds having evolved from dinosaurs.
We had stated then that it was too soon to comment on those claims
and had listed the scientific facts opposing the evolutionists’ theory
on the imaginary dino-bird. We also said that mere speculations on the Microraptor
gui would not suffice to overcome the dire straits in which the dinosaur bird
theory was.

What is now being said in Sloan’s article confirms our reservations
from back then. Sloan says that the Microraptor gui continues to confuse evolutionists
and that according many scientists this creature could not have had flight:
But the Chinese team … doesn't think this animal ran or flapped
well enough to take off. Its leg feathers would've tripped it up like a hurdler
in a ball gown.
Instead, the ample feathers could have formed an airfoil or parachute
similar to those of flying squirrels and other tree-dwelling gliders, the scientists
say…
Other scientists aren't sure what to make of the new fossil, arguing
that gliding doesn't necessarily evolve into powered flight: Why waste energy
beating your wings when you could take it easy? … Some researchers suggest
that M. gui's leg feathers weren't useful for flight at all…
In short, the dinosaur bird theory is a dogma kept going by prejudice
and propaganda. As with the Microraptor gui example, all speculations in this
respect are destined to be refuted and deserted in time, because birds are of
such a complex nature that they cannot be explained by evolution and the probability
of the coincidence factor is simply naught. The true origin of birds and all
others beings is creation. Living beings do not evolve but are created by God’s
command of ‘be!’, immediate and perfect.
